The MSD RYU BUDO
is a self-defense martial art founded by Soke Miguel Abreu that includes his
knowledge in various martial arts and combat sports with different origins. In
order to facilitate the teaching of art, the Grand Master divided the MSD RYU
BUDO into 3 different technical programs, each one of these programs having
more influence of certain martial styles and studying more the technical work
related to these styles.

About how did our martial art
come?
After several
years of practicing of martial arts and combat sports, Soke Miguel Abreu
founded in 1994 his style called at the time MSD-Martial Self Defense, today
known as MSD RYU BUDO.
The MSD RYU BUDO aims to convey all the
knowledge that Sensei Miguel Abreu acquired in the various disciplines he
practiced. Soke Abreu studied with several masters having obtained graduated
Dan degrees (teacher) in various martial arts and combat sports, internationally
recognized by various world organizations.
The MSD RYU BUDO is a constantly evolving
style, as Soke continues its search for new knowledge.
We can define as the main characteristics of
MSD RYU BUDO a simple, practical, direct and effective technical work. We
abdicate everything that is not practical or very difficult to perform. All the
techniques that only served for the show were removed.
